The Macallan Edition 2

Macallan Edition 2 is a collaboration between master blender Bob Delgarno and legendary Spanish chefs Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca. A combination of sherry puncheons, butts and refill hogsheads, this is a deliciously floral and fruity whisky with notes of tropical fruit, black pepper, liquorice and brandy snaps.

A collaboration of some of the finest palates and noses on the planet have united in order to combine some of the finest selection of sherry casks on the planet. Bob Delgano and the Roca brothers have come together to create and influence a style of Macallan that I have truly missed and am now more than happy to help celebrate this wonderful, heavy oak and dry style of classic Macallan. The Macallan Edition 2 Tasting Note by The Master of Malt Website

Nose: Mocha, brown sugar, a spark of ginger and some oak-y warmth.
Palate: Notes of Sherried raisins and dried citrus peels develop, a hint of vegetal oak. Still a little chocolate-y.
Finish: Spiced fruit cake and lemon peels.
