Description
Unusually focused and precise for Pinot Grigio, it finishes brisk and strong with mouth-coating flavours. Nals Margreid’s Punggl Pinot Grigio is a fine example of the regions white wines. The winemaker claims it is the rich soils of Punggl Vienyard in the South Tyrolean village of Magreid, that give it its unique characteristics. The wine is aged half in oak barrels and half in steel tanks.
With a score of 92 points, Wine Enthusiast describes Punggl:
“This is delightful, with amazing intensity and unique smoothness. Aromas of honey, peach and cantaloupe linger on the finish, with a fresh note of mountain flower. This is a simple wine, but a perfectly executed one” -Wine Enthusiast 92 points
