Tasting Notes By Gavin Smith
Nose: Perfume notes that were not in the younger ones. Marzipan. More complex.
Palate: Expansive fruit, oranges and marmalade: notes more typical of a Macallan.
Finish: Longer and sweeter, much more balanced.
Comment: Starting to get there now. The qualitative jump from 10 to 12 is exactly parallel to that in sherried expressions. I’d buy this one!

Tasting Notes By Dave Broom
Nose: Rounded, some complexity. Fresh malt, hemp rope, burnt grass. Sweetens into toffee, sultana, soft fruits. Hint of smoke, oak and white pepper.
Palate: Mouthfilling. Banana split, milk chocolate and juicy fruits but sufficient crisp oak and malt to balance.
Finish: Medium length. Creamed coconut, popcorn.
Comment: The best balanced of the youngsters. Everything is beginning to fill out. A ‘Drink Me’ malt!
